Australia’s first NBA Basketball School
Located at at Cranbrook School in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney and St. Philip’s Christian College in Newcastle, these state-of-the-art facilities are home to Australia’s first and only NBA Basketball School
Through NBA Basketball School Australia, we deliver a holistic player development program that focuses on an athlete-first approach and enhances the development and growth of participants on and off the court. This program will allow young athletes in Australia to develop competence and confidence in their physical and social skills and be active for life.
Program philosophy
The NBA Basketball School Australia’s philosophy is to share the game of basketball with young athletes by teaching skills, values, and wellness in a positive, fun and safe environment..
The holistic approach is intended to strengthen youth basketball culture and teach life lessons to inspire, connect and empower young athletes to succeed on and off the court. We believe this philosophy leads to the development of complete and well-rounded basketball players and strong role models in society.
Overview
The coaches will introduce and familiarise all student-athletes with NBA Basketball School Australia’s holistic development training methodology and techniques.
NBA approved curriculum
With input from NBA coaches, former NBA players, and player development experts, NBA Basketball School Australia has developed a comprehensive curriculum approved by the NBA and will be taught by NBA-approved coaches.

A transformational player development approach that focuses on the social, emotional, mental, and intellectual growth of participants through the use of sport.
World-class facilities
The program operates out of state-of-art basketball facilities and features official NBA game balls, so participants can enjoy an authentic NBA experience.
Expert coaches
The program is led by experienced passionate foreign and local coaches, who are trained and guided by the NBA Approved Technical Director.

Sydney
The NBA Basketball School in Sydney is currently hosted at Cranbrook School’s state-of-the-art basketball facility and features FIBA regulation-size dual basketball courts, equipped with the latest technology and resources to help student-athletes reach their full potential. In instances where the courts at Cranbrook are not available, we conduct training sessions at neighboring venues
Newcastle
We are thrilled to introduce the latest addition to the NBA Basketball School network in Newcastle, which will be housed at St. Philips Christian College’s cutting-edge sports facility. This new location will provide the Newcastle and Hunter region communities with access to NBA-certified coaches, top-notch training, and skill development opportunities. In instances where the courts at St Philip’s Christian College are not available, we conduct training sessions at neighbouring venues.
